These are oil paintings on canvas, panel or paper. Within this group are smaller series which explore the relationship between figure and ground. But throughout all the work, I aim for balance between shape and line, a distribution of color, areas of active and quiet, and attention to edges; all this while trying to bring order to the chaos that often inhabits the canvas.
